You may be asking - What is the Daniel Fast? well its a unique fast-taken from the biblical account in Daniel 1:8-21 where Daniel and his 3 Hebrew friends ate only vegetables and drank water for 10 days.

The Daniel Fast is not about not eating, but eating foods that doesn't contain meat, gluten or dairy.

Whether you are religious or not, this books contains many great recipes for vegetarians, vegans, or dairy- and gluten-intolerant individuals.

There are many tasty recipes in this book (175 to be exact), although I've only made a handful so far - they've all been very good and simple to make. You could also read the Serving Tips During & After the fast tips and add meats, breads, dairy or other ingredients to the recipe. The little quick facts about certain vegetables, ingredients (exotic) are fun to read and you'll learn something from it. Read the Quick Facts about ingredients too - learn more about what you're eating.

There are 2 sections to this book, section 1 is healthy eating while on the fast, the other is after the fast. It starts off with a few breakfast recipes, a fruit salad, and a juice recipes.
There's a ton of main courses and cooked sides, the recipes are vegetarian and very creative.
Raw sides and salads, not just filled with the boring iceberg salad that we're all used to.
Soups, Salad dressing, marinades and sauces, beverages & finally, healthy snacks.
After the fast section you'll find- Breakfasts, pasta dishes, rice dishes, vegan specialties, breads.

In the back of the book you'll find Appendix's, more tips and how to's around the kitchen, sample menus, shopping lists.

Some of my favorite recipes are:
Stir Fried Eggplant
Mashed Sweet Potatoes
Stuffed Mushrooms
Cucumber and Sweet Onion Salad
Lentil Soup
Pumpkin Bisque

This book is going to change the way your look at food, the way you prepare it and the way you feel about it.
